Sandra Helton and Animal Spirituality
Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt
or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the
distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group,
flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together
in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands
again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

The When, Why, and How to Psychically Communicate with Your Pet.
by Sandra Helton Copyright2000

_When you first adopt them
_When you have new people in your home such as the birth of a child, a marriage,
             visitors or repair people
_When you move - before AND after
_When their behavior patterns change
_When you have taken them to a new veterinarian or groomer
_When they have to begin taking a medication
_When they don't feel well
_Any major changes in general

The best beginning for any pet care and communication is to find a good book on their body language and behavior so that you don't have to second guess what's going on. This is always my recommendation as well as good medical care first. In other words, take no risks with their well being in any area.
Once that is done you may go about developing your psychic communication with confidence, great joy and satisfaction. You will be greatly rewarded for your efforts and you will notice that your dog has become more comfortable and secure in his or her home with you. Telepathy is a natural form of communication for animals as it is part of  the  instinctual nature. Humans have this ability, but the intellect has taken over to the extent that is has become dormant.
Animals respond to everything people do.
Shelter animals often come into a home with fears and worry so the best way to know those specifics is to, as soon as possible, spend quiet time with them.
Their well being is enhanced by touch just as are people and they require having you look at them and touch them. They wait for it and part of their emotional security is based on these things.Animals need emotional healing just as people. Having insight about their history will help you to help them to heal.

After your pet has eaten and ready to settle down, sit with them and relax. It helps to have a hand on your them for closer contact. Mentally visualize a blank movie screen. Ask for it to be shown on the screen what your pets life was like and what they are feeling.
The most important thing is to be open to whatever you mentally see. Animals see and project their thoughts in pictures. Because they live so much in the present they quickly adapt to their current environment. The sooner you take the time to sit and visualize with your new pet the better and even young puppies will show you their experiences.  If they are having a problem adapting or keep displaying a pattern of behavior, it may help to attune psychically to see why. There could be objects in your home that is triggering fear or anxiety. What may be innocent could have been used in a negative way and sometimes animals identify people by objects they use and what they wear.
My dog ran from anyone in a hat. She was adopted from a humane society where she had been left tied to the gate in the night. She would be upset at certain people and by observing what was the same about each person she she ran from it was soon discovered that it was the ones wearing hats. As I sat with her in meditation she showed me how someone wearing a hat had abused her. So, the hat is not a weapon and people wearing hats are not bad, but her past experience remained until she saw that I would protect her and that she would never have to endure abuse again. Hats are not such a controversy in our home now, but we still look with cautious eyes when we see them.
Learning body language, being observant of patterns and allowing the telepathic communication to unfold, you will not only know about your pet, but you will let them know how much they are loved and welcome them.

You can also project your thoughts to your pet. See it in a picture what you wish them to do and think it when you issue a command. When you combine a command with the mental picture of what you want them to do they will more quickly catch on to what you mean.

Animals know when they are loved and they respond in kind. Through your love for your dog you will automatically be in tune with their needs. Loving words are not just heard with ears, but with the heart and a sincere word carries the vibration of love and is soothing and healing.
A way to love your dog is to always give greetings when you come home and always say something loving to them when you are going out the door. They will become accustom to this and develop security because you are communicating your actions that they grow to understand. When you leave, see in your mind the picture of you returning home. They will learn that even though you are leaving, you will come back.

Animal prayers, healing and meditations are every morning just at Sun rise. Anyone may join where ever they are. It is called the Animal Attunement Time. Individuals all over the world take a few moments to pause and pray for the animals.

Concerns and What to Do About Them

Animals are still unnecessarily tested on by such organizations as The March of Dimes. When they ask you for money you can tell them why you are not donating.

The cosmetics companies in France are fighting the ban on animal testing. England and the U.K. are on-board with humane treatment and ended animal testing. While several countries in Europe are testing, France is the most obstinate and nasty.

Proctor & Gamble are still on the list of abusers.

Note the company manufacturer of your products before buying to avoid supporting a corporation that inflicts unnecessary cruelty on animals. Such products as Bounty paper towels and Crest toothpaste for example.

The page is a work in progress though hasn't been updated in some months. Realizing that animal abuse is on the rise it has given me reason to pause and ponder in what way animals may be helped through these barbaric times for them. As always, prayer helps and is ever more essential.

A prayer for their safety and for those who are unenlightened to develop an open heart helps when more and more are actively engaged.
Dolphins have been granted "non-human personhood" status by the government of India, making India the first nation in the world to recognize the unique intelligence and self-awareness of the cetacean order (a class of aquatic mammals). The decision was announced by India's Minister of the Environment and Forests which also outlawed captive dolphin shows. The ministry added that dolphins "should have their own specific rights." Dolphins are extremely intelligent mammals with a highly-developed social structure. Recent research shows that dolphins call each other by name and can remember the unique name whistles from old "friends" heard just one time 20 years ago. Dolphins choose their own unique name, a series of complex whistles, before they reach one year of age. From that point forward, all the other dolphins in their social group call them by that unique name. Previous research has shown that dolphins have human-like self awareness and engage in highly complex communications with other dolphins using grammatical sentence structure. They have their own complete language much like humans.

Archbiship Desmond Tutu Speaks Out for Animals

Desmond Tutu, archbishop emeritus of Cape Town who won the Nobel Peace Prize for his anti-apartheid work and who Nelson Mandela described as: "sometimes strident, often tender, never afraid and seldom without humor, Desmond Tutu's voice will always be the voice of the voiceless" says this:

“It is a kind of theological folly to suppose that God has made the entire world just for human beings, or to suppose that God is interested in only one of the millions of species that inhabit God’s good earth,” in his forthright foreword to the Global Guide to Animal Protection being published Dec 30 by the University of Illinois.

In his first major statement on animal welfare Archbishop Tutu says “Our dominion over animals is not supposed to be despotism.  We are made in the image of God, yes, but God – in whose image we are made - is holy, loving, and just.  We do not honor God by abusing other sentient creatures.

If it is true that we are the most exalted species in creation, it is equally true that we can be the most debased and sinful.  This realization should give us pause … There is something Christ-like about caring for suffering creatures, whether they are humans or animals.”

Archbishop Tutu concludes with his support for the Global Guide to Animal Protection and urges readers to seek justice and protection for all creatures, humans and animals alike: “Churches should lead the way by making clear that all cruelty – to other animals as well as human beings – is an affront to civilized living and a sin before God.”

Prayer for the Animals
by Albert Schweitzer
Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our friends, the animals.
Especially for animals who are suffering; for any that are
hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry;
for all that must be put to death.
We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity,
and for those who deal with them, we ask a
a heart of compassion and gentle hands and kindly words.
Make us, ourselves, to be true friends to animals,
and so to share the blessings of the merciful.

Quinton Wyatt was rescued by Miami Animal Control from the streets. No one claimed him and he was scheduled for death and was adopted by Sandra with whom he lived until very old and is now in spirit.

A lesson can be learned from him about tattooing. He had a huge tattoo on his stomach and still it did not give clues of where he had once lived. Tattoos are not  a good way to mark your pets in the case of loss. There isn't a standard for them which means people can have anything written such as a social security number, a name and so on. Those personal choices mean nothing if trying to find the pets home.

If you need to have a secure way to track a pet, then use microchip. Shelters are acquiring scanners to identify pets when they arrive which means that no matter where you might be, if you have registered your pet then they can find you.
